Education

Education - an integral part of PNAQ

Many education session are held throughout the state.  They are hosted by individual branches and are often supported by Medical Companies and Company Representatives - our Health Partners, who willingly provide us with their time, expertise and often sponsor or co-sponsor the event.

Workshops and Conferences provide a more formal environment to increase our knowledge and skill in all aspects of Perioperative Nursing.  The programs are designed to offer something for everyone from novice to Unit Manager and include keynote speakers, plenary and concurrent sessions along with clinical presentations.

Conference sessions are interjected with plenty of time to visit the Trade Displays.  Here questions are answered and that piece of equipment or product information found.  Knowledge flows between the company reps, clinical staff and unit managers.  Friendships and networks are developed or strengthened.

It isn't all work and no play at our Conferences, with evening festivities a further opportunity for interaction to foster and build those all important supportive relationships.   Having fun at our
Workshops and Conferences is mandatory!

Support is available for members to attend Workshops and Conferences.  For further information see our
Grants & Scholarships Guidelines.

Post Graduate Education in Perioperative Nursing is available from a number of Universities.  Watch this space, as in the future we will have links to  them here.
