We acknowledge the hard working perioperative nurses throughout Queensland with the Annual PNAQ Awards. The Awards are presented each year at the Awards Dinner during the Annual State Conference.

The Awards extend our vision to achieve perioperative excellence. They provide professional credibility for perioperative nurses and acknowledge individual and team efforts.

AWARD CATEGORIES

Perioperative Teamwork

A Perioperative nursing team who has demonstrated outstanding achievements in Perioperative leadership by applying the theory of teamwork to their Perioperative practice.

Excellence in Perioperative Nursing

A Perioperative nurse whose work and accomplishments have broadly impacted on Perioperative nursing in two or more of the following areas:

• Practice
• Management
• Education and/or Research
  

Novice Award

A Perioperative nurse with less than 24 months experience who has significantly contributed to one or more of the following aspects of Perioperative nursing:

• Clinical Practice
• Patient Education
• Nursing Management
• Nursing Education
• Nursing Research
